It takes about 30 minutes to drive northeast from the center of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, to the Saysettha Development Zone. In the development zone, tropical plants are lush and green, and factories are neatly arranged. The Saysettha Development Zone is China's only national-level overseas economic and trade cooperation zone in Laos, and also a national-level special economic zone in Laos. As an early harvest project of the "Belt and Road" construction plan, the Saysettha Development Zone plays an important role in promoting the industrialization process of Laos and enhancing the level of economic and trade cooperation between China and Laos.
